Comfort Care Coastal Announces Acquisition of Mercy Medical Home Health and Hospice


PELHAM, AL– Comfort Care Coastal Home Health/Hospice announced today, November 16, 2015 that it has completed the acquisition of Mobile, AL-based Mercy Medical Home Health and Hospice, expanding Comfort Care’s home health and hospice service area to the Baldwin and Mobile county markets.

Mercy has an excellent reputation and their faith-based approach and focus on quality care will mesh well with our respective companies.  This is an important strategic move for Comfort Care in expanding our statewide presence as a provider of post-acute services”,  said Alan G. Parker, CEO of Comfort Care Home Health/Hospice, parent companies of Comfort Care Coastal Home Health/Hospice.

Parker also showcased that this acquisition will expand the Alabama-based company’s post-acute offering to the Baldwin and Mobile county market.

Mercy Medical’s PACE program (Program of All Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) known as Mercy Life will continue to provide community-based services to the underserved seniors of the area.
