We are pleased to inform you that Comfort Care Hospice is now Aveanna Hospice. Aveanna is one of the largest providers of homecare in the nation, bringing care to more than 50,000 patients every day. We want to assure you that your family remains in good hands and will continue to receive all the care and compassion you’ve come to expect.

Aveanna Hospice provides the medical and emotional support needed for patients and their loved ones. Taking care of a loved one with a life-limiting illness is never easy, but you don’t have to do it alone.

How we live is important when we approach the end of our lives. With Aveanna Hospice, we focus on the medical aspects of care, so you don’t have to. We listen and focus on what we can do to help our patients live as well as possible — managing pain and symptoms, providing the physical, social, emotional, and spiritual support for the patient and the family. With our team of physicians, nurses, social workers, chaplains, and home health aides, we work with the patient and family to provide what is needed for comfort and support. We provide medications and equipment related to your loved one’s hospice diagnosis and we offer 24-hour on-call support for emergencies. This allows patients and families to focus on what is important – the relationships and memories that can be made by living each day as well as possible.

Our Services

Round-the-Clock Hospice Care

At the appropriate moment, our team can assist with:

Quality of Life

Hospice care addresses the patient's physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs, and thus earlier admittance allows for more quality time with loved ones.

Pain & Symptom Management

Over the course of several months, hospice nurses can manage pain and other symptoms individually. The team can carefully add and adjust medicines to provide the most effective relief and comfort to the patient.

Medical Equipment & Supplies

Hospice care provides hospital beds, commodes, and wheelchairs to make the patient and caregivers safe and comfortable.

Bereavement & Family Support

Early hospice admission allows professionals to provide bereavement care, which helps families better cope with their grief.

Hospice Volunteer Program

Choosing to be a hospice volunteer comes with lifelong rewards. Your gift of compassion brings comfort to our patients and families. We work closely with volunteers and provide training so that you can become comfortable in your role and have a greater impact on the patients and families we serve.
